Bonded NdFeB, composed of Nd2Fe14B, is a synthetic magnet. Bonded NdFeB magnets are made by mixing rapidly quenched NdFeB magnetic powder and a binder through "press molding" or "injection molding". Bonded magnets with high dimensional accuracy can be made into relatively complex magnetic components, with the characteristics of one-time molding and multi-pole orientation. Bonded NdFeB has high mechanical strength and can be molded simultaneously with other supporting components during molding.
There are two bonding process flows:
1. Magnetic powder, coupling agent → adhesive → ingredients → non-magnetic field pressing and molding → curing treatment → magnetization → testing and packaging
2. Magnetic powder, coupling agent → adhesive → ingredients → magnetic field pressing and molding → demagnetization → curing treatment → magnetization → testing and packaging
Bonded NdFeB has the characteristics of high remanence, high coercivity, high magnetic energy product, high-performance price ratio, easy processing of various sizes and small specifications, etc. It is mainly used in office automation equipment, electrical machinery, audio-visual equipment, instruments, and meters, small motors, and metering machinery, and is widely used in mobile phones, other micro DC motors, and automation instruments and meters.
