CTY Wet Drum Magnetic Separator Description

Innovations in both magnetic circuit design and materials of construction are applied to wet drum magnetic separators. This results in maximum magnetite recovery while operating with a minimum amount of wear and maintenance. Refinements in the magnetic circuit, tank design, and drive system have resulted in further improvements in metallurgical performance and operation.

CTY Wet Drum Magnetic Separator Features

1. The feeding box is equipped with a uniform material device to ensure that the material entering the tank is uniform in the length direction of the drum;

2. A wear-resistant layer is adhered to the inner surface of the tank and the outer surface of the magnetic drum to increase wear resistance and prolong its life;

3. The selected ore particle size diameter can reach 16mm;

4. The content of magnetic substances in tailings is significantly reduced, which is 1-3% lower than that of ordinary magnetic separation equipment;

5. The wrap angle of the magnetic system is 138°, the sorting process is lengthened, and the concentrate grade is 2-4% higher:

6. The tank maintains a certain height of the liquid level, which is easy to recover the magnetic substance.

How to Work

The drum rotates in the same direction as the slurry flow. The slurry enters the feedbox and is channeled underneath the submerged drum. The slurry then flows into the magnetic field generated by the drum. The magnetite is attracted by the magnetic field, collected on the drum surface, and rotated out of the slurry flow. This a very clean magnetic product.
