Rubber Recess Former Description
Rubber Recess Former are made of rubber and have a hemispherical shape. It is designed to open to allow the insertion of pin anchors, and once closed, it provides an adequate seal to prevent concrete from entering. After the concrete is poured and cured, the groove formers are removed to reveal the pin anchors in their pockets. Rubber Recess Former should be oiled and can be used multiple times. Rubber Recess Former are used for easy fixing to formwork. The rubber groove formed in the open position will be placed on the anchor head. Closing the rubber groove former will hold the anchor securely. The rubber groove formers can then be secured to the formwork with the anchors. To secure ball head jacking anchors or installation/deployment anchors to formwork, rubber groove formers must be used. This ensures easy and secure positioning of the anchor and prepares the anchor for the correct universal head lift linkage.
Additionally, formers are available in narrower widths to facilitate placement in thin panels. The former is also available as a non-hinging product with an alternative method of holding the pin anchor in place.
