Wire Loop Box Features
There are two designs of Wire Loop Box, one is a single-wire ring and the other is a double-wire ring, you can choose according to your needs. The Wire Loop Box consists of a grooved box, which fixes itself to the concrete well through its stepped side form, and a wire, which together with the box forms a load-bearing structure. The spacing of the GME Wire Loop Box in the joint depends on the shear load to be transferred.
The boxes are fitted to the formwork of the wall panels before the concrete is poured. Fit the loop boxes to the formwork according to the spacing required to accommodate the shear loads before pouring the panels. After removing the formwork, remove the protective tape and break open the ring with eg a hammer or a dowel.
A pair of boxes and vertical rebar installed in the ring together with the concrete grout in the joint form a joint that resists vertical shear forces. Wire Loop Boxes are mainly used to connect precast wall panels or columns. Attachment rings simplify the wall installation process as they only require removing the protective tape and bending the ring out of the box. Before pouring the elements, the loop boxes are fitted to the formwork at the necessary spacing to withstand shear loads. Once the formwork is removed, the protective tape covering the ring can be removed and the ring can be broken open with a hammer or pin. The wall panels are then installed and supported according to the construction plan. Vertical rebar is inserted into the ring, ensuring structural integrity. Check the horizontal position of the rings to ensure proper alignment. Finally, after the formwork is complete, concrete grout is poured or pumped into the joints to complete the installation.
