Hopper magnets are useful in many different magnetic separation applications. They use a high-density magnetic field that has been expertly configured for optimal removal of ferrous metal contamination. Ceramic grate magnets excel at removing ferrous fines, fragments, and small metal objects as product flows through them.

Ideal for the removal of ferrous and paramagnetic particulates from a range of dry free flowing products, and therefore suitable for filtration of products within the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, ceramic, animal feed, recycling and gas and oil industries, our Grid Separator is a fully bespoke product and can be designed to fit any size or shape of application.

Hopper Magnet Working Principle

Hopper Magnets provide a properly configured, high-density magnetic field to trap and hold ferrous fines, fragments, and small metal objects as product flows through them. Stainless steel tubing and frames are welded into strong, integral units. They can be installed – or simply laid – inside hoppers, housings, and bins – and easily removed for cleaning. Grates are built for low-abrasion applications and should measure at least twice the size of your outlet opening, so as not to restrict product flow.  With a round design, these ceramic grate magnets are easy to install or simply place in housings, bins, and hoppers. After that, all you need to do in the future is remove and clean according to your application needs.

drugs, chemicals, cosmetics, food products, plastics, grains, spices, sugar, honey, salt, and minerals. These units are easily installed in any hopper or floor opening, chute, or duct.

In operation, the sturdy grid bars positioned over the magnetic element act as baffles to deflect your flow of material onto the magnetic tubes where iron contamination is trapped and held.
