Belt conveyors are conveyors that use continuous and flexible conveyor belts to continuously move materials. It has simple structure, easy maintenance, large conveying capacity, long stand-alone length, low energy consumption (low energy consumption in mechanical conveying equipment), strong ability to adapt to terrain, and adopting a special type of conveyor belt to convey an inclination of up to 60° or more. dust.

It is mainly composed of a conveyor belt, a roller, a roller, a drive device, and a supporting chassis.

First, the main structure

1. Conveyor Belts: Fabric core conveyor belts and steel cord conveyor belts are the main materials used in belt conveyors. The latter has high strength, small elastic elongation, good groove forming, impact resistance, fatigue resistance, can reduce the diameter of the drum, and has a long service life, and is particularly suitable for transporting bulk cement over long distances.

2. Roller: The driving roller and the reversing roller. The former is connected with the driving device. The outer surface may be a bare metal surface. It may also be coated with a rubber layer to increase the coefficient of friction. The latter is used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt and increase the wrap angle of the conveyor belt on the drive roller, which is generally made into a smooth surface.

3. Roller: Parts used to support conveyor belts and materials. According to its role and installation position in the conveyor, it is divided into bearing roller, idle roller, stop roller and aligning roller.

4. Tensioning device: Its role is to generate a certain pre-tension in the conveyor belt to avoid slipping on the drive roller, and at the same time to control the deflection of the conveyor belt between the idlers to reduce drag and avoid scattering. Its structural forms mainly include screw type and heavy hammer type winch type.
